The gym at the region’s leading health club and spa has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment making it the most technically advanced anywhere in the South-West.
The refurbishment, which cost £1 million, has seen the entire cardio-vascular, resistance and free weight equipment being completely replaced.
The floor of the freeweight and HiiT area has also being replaced with the whole gym also benefitting from being completely redecorated.
To commemorate the occasion, England athlete Ellie Wallace popped in to officially reopen the gym and to also check out the new kit. A member of the North Somerset Athletic Association, she’ll now use the club as part of her training routine which she said would be much better especially during the winter months.
Jason Eaton, general manager at the popular health club said: “We’re absolutely delighted with how the refurbishment has gone. The new layout and all the new kit just looks amazing. It’s like stepping into a completely brand-new gym!
“I’ve said many times before that we constantly look to invest in the club's facilities to make sure it remains the leading independent health club and spa in the country. And the investment in the gym’s equipment demonstrates our commitment to do just that.
“The first members were through the door at 6.15am on Friday morning and everyone since have said they just love the new space and kit.
“It was also great to invite Ellie in to check out the new equipment and hope she’ll move on to greater things in the coming months.”
Jason and his team have worked closely with Technogym, a world leading brand in fitness, wellness, sport and health with the kit installed being the same as the athletes will use at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Jason added: “No other health club in the region has such an extensive range of equipment and places us at the forefront of health and wellbeing.
“We’re now looking forward to welcoming current members as well as those who are considering joining a health club and to make their experience one that will help them achieve their goals.”
